Reno 911! is a loose parody of the hit FOX Documentary Series
COPS. The series features members of the fictious, massively inept
"Reno Sheriff's Department." In the course of their duties, the
Deputies sometimes address the camera directly. The show deals
heavily in politically incorrect and racy humor, including many
jokes about rape, sexual orientation, race, substance abuse,
pedophilia, and mental illness. Unlike COPS, Reno 911's Deputies
are constantly cursing, causing much of the series' dialogue to be
censored for broadcast. Reno 911! is filmed entirely on location
in Carson, California. In October 2011, a revival was proposed for
the Streaming Media giant Netflix, but the series was passed over.
